More than 2.8 million hard-working Americans, including many educators, have their Social Security benefits reduced—or lose them entirely—due to the Government Pension Offset (GPO) and Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP).
The U.S. House passed the Social Security Fairness Act, which would fully repeal GPO and WEP, by a vote of 327-75.
Now, we have precious time for the Senate to pass it before the end of the year.
